Just like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge also comes with the ability to install browser add-ons usually called as extensions, that add new and enhanced features to the browser.

You can view which extensions are currently installed in Edge by clicking the three-horizontal dot menu icon located in the top-right corner and then clicking on the “Extensions” button to enter the extensions menu.

This will take you the Microsoft Store page for Edge, with extensions separated by a category, each placed with a defined purpose. For example, “Shopping” lists several extensions to help you shop on different websites on the edge.

Now, Click on any extension of your choice and then select the “Get” button to begin installing it on the browser.

Edge will now display a confirmation pop-up on your screen, thus alerting you to the permissions the extension will have access to, do you agree to install it. These include tracing your website history or displaying notifications, for example.

If you want to proceed with the installation process, select the “Add Extension” button.

Once the extension of your choice has been installed, Microsoft Edge will display a notification to confirm and highlight the icon for your extension on the screen. You will be able to see the extension icon next to your address bar, and it will also appear as an entry on the “Extensions” settings page.

If an icon for your extensions appears next to the address bar, you can click on the same to interact with the extension further.
