Quick Tips To Speed Up PS4 Downloads
Avoid downloading more items together
Downloading multiple items or files at once will slow down the download speed for all files. Therefore, always download one file at a time.
Do not play online while your download is active
If you play online two things will happen: first, your game will lag as the download is active. Second, it will slow down the download speed.
Pause and then resume
If your download is taking too much time to initiate or proceed further, then, pause and resume it. This may increase the download speed.
Check your internet connection
Most of the time the problem regarding download speed lies within the internet connection. Check the speed of your internet and the plan that you paid for. If they match, then you will have to upgrade your plan.
Check your router and your modem.
If your modem and router are a few years old, then we suggest you upgrade your router and modem. An outdated router will only distribute a limited amount of bandwidth. If your internet plan has a higher bandwidth network, then your router won’t give that much bandwidth.
Last but not least, make sure the Wi-Fi isn’t crowded
If you are downloading some large file on another device with the same network, then your Wi-Fi tends to get crowded. As a result, your download speed reduces.
