Microsoft Word provides users with a lot of options and features when compared to other word processors. If you have ever been in a situation where you need to duplicate a page in word, it enables you to duplicate an entire page and create a copy of it. Duplicating a page in Word document is only about selecting everything present on the target page, and copying it over to a blank page within the document.

Duplicate a Page in Word: Single-Page Document

If you want to duplicate a single page in Word, then you need to follow the given steps:

Step 1: First, you need to use the ‘Ctrl + A’ command to select the entire document. Since it is a one-page document, all the contents of that specific page will be selected.

Step 2: Now you need to use the ‘Ctrl + C’ command or right-click on the selected text.

Step 3: Then you need to click on the ‘Copy’ option from the context menu, after which you will notice that everything will be selected.

Step 4: Next you need to insert a new page since the content of your single-page is on your clipboard and you will need to paste that on a new page. 

Step 5: You need to click on the ‘Blank Page’ option, from the ‘Insert’ menu. If your document does not move to the new page automatically,  you will need to scroll down and click on it.

Step 6: Now,  you will need to use the ‘Ctrl+V’ command to paste the contents of your first page on the second page. You can also right-click and select the ‘Paste’ option. 

Please note: If you want to follow the same process, you will need to select the ‘Keep Source Formatting’ option and you will notice that your copied page contents will eventually be inserted into your new page, thereby, duplicating it.

Duplicate a Page in Word: Multi-Page Documents

If you have such a document that is more than a single page, then you will have to follow the steps mentioned below to:

Step 1: First, you need to navigate to the page in Microsoft Word that you want to duplicate.

Step 2: Then you need to place the pointer of the mouse at the very beginning of your page that you want to duplicate.

Step 3: Now you need to click and, with the click still held, you will have to drag the mouse pointer to the very bottom of your target page after which you will notice that all of the contents of your target page will be selected.

Step 4: Next, you need to use the ‘Ctrl + C’ command or you can even right-click anywhere on the selected text and click on the ‘Copy’ option from the context menu that will appear after the right-click to copy everything that has been selected. 

Please Note: You would not be able to use the ‘Ctrl+A’ command to select the content, as this will select everything in your Word document. 

After you have copied everything from the page that you want to duplicate, you can move ahead to duplicating your target page. 

Step 6: To create a duplicate of the target page, you need to insert a blank page by first clicking on the ‘Insert’ menu and then selecting the option of ‘Blank Page’. 

Step 7: Now, before you paste the content onto that new blank page, you will need to use the ‘Ctrl+V’ command or simply right-click on the screen and then select the ‘Keep Source Formatting’ option. 

Next, you will observer that the single page will then be duplicated, creating an exact copy of your original page.

Duplicate a Page in Word: with a PDF Editor

If you want to duplicate individual pages in your final printed document, PDF editors usually come handy and provide more flexibility.

Step 1: First, you need to select the ‘File’ option and select the ‘Save As’ option.

Step 2: Now you need to change your file type to PDF and name the file whatever you want to.
Step 3: Next you need to open the PDF file using a PDF editor. 

Please note: Many PDF editors have a thumbnail view, where you can view the thumbnail of each page of your document. 

Step 4: Then you need to right-click the thumbnail of the page you want to duplicate and select the ‘Copy’ option.
Step 5: Now you need to scroll to that section of the document where you want to insert the duplicated page by right-clicking on the page and selecting the ‘Paste’ option. 

You will observe that after selecting the paste option, the duplicated page will be inserted in the document.
